Custom Stockcrafting

The entire process of manufacturing gunstocks - from the walnut logs to finished stocks - happens on site at Sycamore Hill Designs. Our on-site sawmill will handle logs of 62" diameter and up to 24' length, capable of converting the largest logs into high grade lumber. The following slideshow shows the steps from the rough lumber to the fitted blank, through the sanding, shaping, checkering, and finishing processes.
